CORRECTIONS OFFICER
The Ottawa County Detention Center located in Minneapolis, Kansas, has an opening available for Corrections Officer. The Ottawa County Detention Center is responsible for operating and maintaining a 60-bed facility. Corrections Officers will be responsible for day-to-day operations concerning intake, housing assignments, general inmate care and control. Officers will be expected to be able to work all shifts as assigned. We provide a very generous benefit package, which includes paid health insurance, dental insurance, eye care, and life insurance. We have vacation and sick pay as well as a number of paid holidays. Experience is not a must, as we will train. Minimum qualifications: 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid driver’s license. No felony convictions, serious misdemeanors, or drug related offenses. Part Time County Wide 911 Dispatcher
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Department has an immediate opening for the position of Part-Time County Wide 911 Dispatcher. Experience is a plus but not required. Will train the right person.
