The Ottawa County Extension Council is located in the basement of the courthouse.  Two Extension agents, Cade Rensink and Peg Condray, and a secretary, Paula Baccus serve the public.

Cade handles agriculture, horticulture and part of the 4-H program.  Peg handles family and consumer science, economic development and part of the 4-H program.
