Early voting can start twenty days before an Election Day. You may vote in advance, without reason at the Ottawa County Election Office, 307 N. Concord, Suite 130, Minneapolis, (785) 392-2279
One of three ways to vote is allowed.
1. You may vote in advance in person at the Election office 20 days prior to any election during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The deadline for voting in person is 12:00 noon on the Monday prior to Election Day, Election office only.
2. To vote by mail, you may contact the Election office for an Application for Advance Voter Ballot and it can be mailed to you, or come in person. The applications can be downloaded at http://www.kssos.org/, under Voting Applications, and then Advance Voting Application. These applications can be mailed back to the election office or faxed at (785) 392-2011. The completed application must be received at the Election Office before 5:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the election. Ballots can be mailed beginning 20 days before the election. Your completed ballot must be returned by mail or in person to the County Election Office. All ballots are required to be received by 7:00 p.m., on Election Day.
3. You may go to the polls and vote on Election Day. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
